Swedish authorities had halt the use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine in their country following reports of possible dangerous side effects of the vaccine.
Recall that many other EU countries to halt the distribution and use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine in their country and now Sweden has joined.
Swedish Health Authorities said it was halting the use of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine “as a precautionary measure” due to the alarming reports of “possible side effects” of it.
An epidemiologist in Sweden, Anders Tegnell said that 10-20 cases in Europe of post-jab haemorrhages were the main concern and further investigations will still be carried out.
Many other EU countries have suspended the use of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine following reports of blood clots.
The EU Health Agencies are set to hold a special meeting on Thursday to decide whether measures are needed.
WHO still hold their stand that countries should continue to use the jab, saying no direct link has been established between blood clots and the vaccine.
