IMO State House of Assembly removes Mr Uche Ogbuagu as the Majority Leader

Mr Uche Ogbuagu (APC Ikeduru) has been removed as the Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly

This was made known by the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Mr Paul Emeziem (APC Onuimo) at the plenary of the House on Thursday.

The speaker also announced that Uche is going to be replaced by the member representing Owerri West, Mr Kanayo Njoku (APC ).

“We also want to notify the House that Uche Ogbuagu is now a former Majority Leader, while Kanayo Onyemaechi is the current Majority Leader,” the speaker said.

Mr Uche Ogbuagu said that he would soon make an official statement about his removal, appealing to his constituents to continue to be supportive and calm.

The House was adjourned until March 9.
