The Ondo state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu has said that any cow seen wandering the streets of Akure, Ondo state capital will be arrested.
To this regard, his government is banning open grazing.
This was made known in a recent interview he did with TVC.
He said ;
“We are banning open grazing. If I see any cow, I will arrest it.
They can’t move in Akure town.
We wouldn’t allow it.
It is not going to happen.
We must put an end to it”
Due to the alarming clashes between Fulani herders and farmers in the SouthWest, the governors in the South West state on January 25, came to an agreement and banned open grazing.
