1 min read

Owing to the disclosure by the senate that the ministry of petroleum resources officials have been involved in various contract splitting, lawyers have urged the Federal Government led by president Buhari to prosecute the culprits in order to serve as deterrent to others in his administration’s bid to fight corruption.

The senate recently uncovered how the the ministry of oil spent #14million on biros and #46 million for letterhead papers , #56 million on toner and raised the alarm.

The Guardian news online reported that stakeholders in the oil and gas industry are perturbed over this incidence and are disturbed that a whooping #116million could be spent on biros, papers, and inks in just one year, alledging the level of complacency at the national assembly and ministry of finance , insisting that the bodies had allowed unabated looting despite their oversight functions and roles and no such thing occurred in 2015.
