Second Wave Covid-19: FG Issues Stay At Home Order To Civil Servant
Amidst global lockdown emanating from the fresh second wave of Covid-19 spreading across the globe, especially in the UK, United States of America, and European countries including China, the federal government of Nigeria has issued a fresh order to its civle servants grade from grade level 12 and below to stay at home.
They are to remain at home, just as it was observed during the first hit of the Covid-19 disease for a period of 5 weeks pending when the second wave subsides.
Head of Civil Service of the Federation, HOCSF, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, made this known in a circular in Abuja.
This development was as a result of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country. This became imperative to avoid a total outbreak of the pandemic. Officers affected by this are expected to work from home while those from grade level 13 and above are to adhere to strict measures.
The circular reads in part; “Following Mr President’s approval of recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in the light of the second wave of the infection in Nigeria, officers on grade level 12 and below are hereby, directed to stay at home for a period of five weeks, effective from Wednesday Dec. 23 and await further directive,” the HOS said.
