After 8 Months, ASUU To Call Off Strike

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities have finally agreed to call off the 8th month strike as FG finally succumb to the union’s demand by shifting its ground on the issue of IPPIS and to adopt UTAS and also promised to increase staffs payment by 70billion.
The government’s team was led by Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment and the Union reached a consensus on Friday according to Punch reports. The government has agreed to exempt the striking staffs from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System which is ASUU’s major demand.
