1 min read

Ace Nigerian actor turned politician and currently a member in the House of Assembly, Lagos state was alleged to have called for the regulation of social media space and charged the youths to stop the hatred already and go get their PVC’s in order to enter into governance while speaking at a plenary session at the Lagos state House of Assembly recently.

Speaking on Arise Television 9 pm news interview session with Amaka Udeh, cleared the air and denied stating he was calling for the regulation of the social media and admitted he benefited from the social media in the past, but explained that we have to change the narrative from the curses and hate speech to peace and love and rebuilding the country while calling for devolution of power from the central to states and regions pointing out that there is too much power at the centre.

In an emotion laden voice, the embattled Desmond Eliot who was obviously close to tears decried the killings and burning of lives and properties especially private owned properties and apologised for speaking with so much emotions during the plenary which many have misunderstood and taken out of context.
