Widening US-China Rift: Trump Moves To Ban TikTok App

Amidst growing deepening economic and political rift between the United states of America and China, the United states is making frantic moves to ban the fast growing video App from China, Tiktok which has over 80 million active monthly users in the United states.

President Trump has announced banning of the Chinese owned video sharing app Tiktok. He made this known to reporters stating that he could sign an executive order early Saturday.

Security officials in the US have expressed concerns that the Chinese firm ByteDance , producers of the App could be used to collect and breach the personal data of Americans.

“As far as Tiktok is concerned, we are banning them from the United states” Trump was quoted saying to reporters aboard Airforce one.
